Deputy Chief of Staff leads call for innovation at rebranded National Technology & Communications Awards

Ghana’s top technology and communications leaders were celebrated at the 7th National Technology and Communications Awards (NTCA), held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Accra Marriott Hotel.

Formerly the National Communications Awards, the event has been rebranded to the National Technology and Communications Awards to reflect its broader focus on digital innovation and Ghana’s evolving tech landscape. The shift underscores the country’s growing commitment to building a digitally inclusive economy.

This year’s ceremony, themed “AI-Powered Future: Innovation, Transformation & Impact in Ghana’s Digital Economy,” honoured individuals and institutions driving transformation across ICT, fintech, telecommunications, public service, and emerging digital sectors.

Delivering the keynote address on behalf of the Presidency, Deputy Chief of Staff Nana Oye Bampoe Addo stressed the importance of innovation in national development.

“The future of national progress will be driven by individuals and businesses that adapt and innovate in response to changing times,” she said. “As government works to position Ghana as a hub of technology and innovation, we envision a future where artificial intelligence and human ingenuity work hand in hand to build a sustainable, inclusive nation.”
