All the groups put in their best, but the judges were more convinced by the first group’s performance, making them the winners of the night.

“My group is the first group because they brought what I wanted. They brought the vocals and the energy as well. So, for me the first group have it,” Judge Bullgod said.

“Birds of a feather flock together. I can’t help but agree with him. So, yes, I’m rooting for the first group. I definitely think that they are the winning group for today,” Judge Doreen Andoh concurred.

As the competition has just begun, all the contestants are urged to put forth their best-performing energy and be more poised to deliver as the weeks evolve.

Although showmanship is required for the competition, the voice, Doreen Andoh said is the major key to their progress on the show.

“Forget the showmanship sometimes. It’s your voice that we’re looking for. So, work on that first and then bring the showmanship; marry the two, and let’s see who will be our next favourite talent for Cues and Lyrics,” she admonished.

Cues and Lyrics has officially begun, and the contestants are gearing up to ‘wow’ viewers and the judges with captivating performances.

Tune in to Joy Prime every Sunday at 8:30 p.m. as these budding musicians bring on their music in the upcoming weeks. Dial *711*60# to vote for your favourite contestant.
