CJ nominee Baffoe-Bonnie proposes November 7 for general elections

The Chief Justice, His Lordship Justice Anin Yeboah, has directed Registrars of the various courts in the Greater Accra and Greater Kumasi Regions to adjourn all cases listed during the lockdown to dates in May and June.

The move he explained is due to the president’s directive, which spared lawyers and litigants and other court users from exemptions in the partial restrictions.

However, the Chief Justice in a release clarifies that only critical cases would be dealt with in designated courts listed by the Chief Justice. The Supreme Court and Court of Appeal will be available to handle only urgent cases during this period.
