The Central East Regional Police Command on Tuesday, July 15, secured the conviction of Kolie Samuel, 25, for robbery following an incident at Millennium City near Golden Pride Preparatory School in Gomoa East on July 10, 2025.
Samuel robbed a female victim around 5:30 a.m., seizing her handbag containing an iPhone 16 Pro Max and a purse with an unspecified amount of cash.

He was arrested the same day at a hideout in Ngleshie Amanfro, a suburb of Accra, following intelligence-led investigations assisted by the victim, police said.
A search of the suspect recovered the victim’s phone and several suspected stolen items, including a Dell laptop, four mobile phones, AirPods, jewelry, and memory cards, among others, on July 15, 2025.

The Ofaakor Circuit Court sentenced Samuel to 14 years for robbery and five years for causing harm, to be served concurrently.
The Central East Regional Police said it remains committed to public safety and the prosecution of criminal offenders.
