Director of Communications for the Movement for Change, now known as the United Party, Courage Nobi, has announced his exit from the political party.
In a press statement issued on Monday, November 3, Mr. Nobi said his decision followed “a period of reflection and a new direction for my life’s purpose and for Ghana—rooted in my unwavering commitment to faith, integrity, and patriotism.”
“I have, since the conclusion of the 2024 general elections, respectfully stepped away from the politics of the Movement for Change, now the United Party,” he stated.
Mr Nobi further revealed that he had personally communicated his decision to Alan Kyerematen, making it clear that he was not a member of the United Party.
“I have since personally communicated my decision to Alan Kyerematen and wish to state clearly and without ambiguity that I am not a member of the United Party,” the statement read.
Expressing gratitude for his time working under the former trade minister, Mr Nobi described Alan Kyerematen as a visionary leader whose dedication to Ghana remains inspiring.
“I remain eternally grateful for the opportunity to have served under the brilliant leadership of Alan Kyerematen—championing his vision and cause. I hold a firm belief in his stature and continue to admire his deep love and commitment to our dear country, Ghana,” he said.
Recounting his political journey, Mr Nobi said he had the honour of serving as Director of Communications for the Youth Caucus during Mr. Kyerematen’s NPP flagbearer campaign and later as Deputy Director of Communications and Policy in the Movement for Change.
“I had the honour of serving him as his Director of Communications for the Youth Caucus during his flagbearer campaign in the New Patriotic Party. Guided by my principles and conviction in his vision, I later served as Deputy Director of Communications and Deputy Director for Policy in his Movement for Change. This was due to my commitment to him as a leader and mentor and still as a statesman whom I deeply respect,” he said.

Mr Nobi extended his goodwill to the leadership and members of the United Party as they continue their political journey.
“That said, I extend my best wishes to the leadership and members of the United Party in this new endeavour,” he added.
Affirming his continued dedication to national development, Mr Nobi said his focus now is on contributing to good governance and public discourse.
“With my unwavering patriotism and belief that Ghana can work, I remain avidly involved in the building of our nation through offering governance solutions, promoting and upholding ethical leadership, and presenting dissenting views to enhance good governance. I avail myself to every opportunity to enhance public discourse on critical national issues,” he stated.
