The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has today resumed the trial of former Public Procurement Authority (PPA) Chief Executive, Adjenim Boateng Adjei, over alleged breaches of procurement procedures.
Mr Adjei faces eight charges, including abuse of public office for personal gain.
The case, which has drawn significant public interest, centres on claims that he used his position at the PPA to advance his private interests in violation of procurement laws.

Proceedings are currently underway as the OSP seeks to establish evidence of wrongdoing in the ongoing trial.
The case involving Mr. Adjenim Boateng Adjei, has been before the court for the past two years.
The OSP earlier this year filed fresh charges against him, expanding the scope of the investigation.
Mr Adjei faces eight counts of using public office for profit and nine counts of directly or indirectly influencing the procurement process to secure an unfair advantage in the award of contracts.
According to a statement issued by the OSP, Mr Adjei’s brother-in-law, Francis Kwaku Arhin, has also been charged with one count of using public office for profit.
Somewhere in 2022, investigations suggest that the dismissed PPA boss has allegedly withdrawn all funds from his previously frozen bank accounts, raising fresh concerns about the management of assets linked to the ongoing case.
