The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has arrested Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, popularly known as Counsellor Lutterodt, over comments in a viral video allegedly inciting some youth to storm the residence of the late highlife musician, Daddy Lumba.

In a statement issued by the police, investigations revealed that Counsellor Lutterodt made remarks relating to issues surrounding the late musician that were considered offensive and capable of causing a breach of the peace.

The police said Counsellor Lutterodt has since been granted bail but is expected to appear in court on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

“He faces charges of offensive conduct conducive to breach of the peace under Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29), as well as inciting violence under the Criminal Offences Act and the Public Order Act, 1994 (Act 491),” the statement said.
