Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Daniel Okyem Aboagye has accused his contender, Francis Asenso-Boakye of engaging in vote buying in a move aimed at persuading the delegates in the constituency to vote in his favour.

Electionbillboard – NPP Primaries Election – 20/06/20 – This has brought up chaos in the Bantama Constituency as Francis Asenso-Boakye has denied such claims and described them as an insult to the integrity of the delegates in the constituency.

His supporters have meanwhile been playing back events of the past by the sitting MP, Okyem Aboagye of sharing cars to the delegates in the party’s last primaries in the constituency in 2015.

Commenting on the issue, Daniel Okyem Aboagye in an interview said, he never engaged in vote buying. When asked specifically about the issuance of cars to delegates in 2015, he said, he only offered the vehicles for work and pay purposes and not to induce delegates.
