CFAO Ghana PLC, a prominent name in the automotive industry, has taken a substantial leap towards environmental sustainability and energy efficiency with the successful installation of a state-of-the-art 130kVA solar power system.

This remarkable achievement aligns perfectly with the company’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint while contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The new solar plant, consisting of a total of 300 monocrystalline solar panels, each generating an impressive output of 540 watts, is a testament to CFAO Ghana’s dedication to reducing its dependence on the national grid and making significant savings in power bills.

Three high-performance smart inverters from Huawei have been deployed to efficiently convert the DC power generated by the panels into usable AC power, which is crucial for CFAO’s daily operations.

The Facilities Manager of CFAO Ghana Plc and Project Manager for the project Mr. Samuel Gomashie, gave insights into how much power the system generates and how much CFAO Ghana will be saving.

The solar system generates an average of 140KWh daily, of which CFAO Ghana consumes approximately 90-120kWh, depending on weather conditions.
