Ghanaian luxury watchmaker, Caveman Watches, continues to make strides in showcasing local innovation and craftsmanship on the global stage.

The company recently hosted a high-level delegation from the Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) at its state-of-the-art production facility, “The New Cave,” located in Accra.

The visit formed part of GEPA’s ongoing drive to promote non-traditional exports and spotlight Ghanaian-made products with the potential to compete internationally.

Led by GEPA’s Deputy Chief Executive Officers, Mr. Raymond Rashid Kramer and Mr. Ambrose Edwin Nsarkoh, the delegation was taken on a guided tour of Caveman’s intricate production line.

From initial concept design to casing, polishing, and final assembly, the team observed firsthand the meticulous attention to detail and technological precision that define the brand’s operations.

“We are truly amazed at what is happening here at Caveman Watches,” Mr. Kramer noted during the tour. “The level of machinery and precision, as well as the dedication of the workforce, is a testament to what Ghanaian ingenuity can achieve. It’s inspiring to see such excellence being built locally.”

The delegation was particularly impressed by the company’s level of automation, the scale of its operations, and the number of skilled artisans engaged in the production process.

Founded in 2018 by entrepreneur Anthony Dzamefe, Caveman Watches has grown from a passion project into a symbol of African excellence and innovation.

Its signature timepieces, including the acclaimed “Blue Volta” and “Antique Leather” collections, have earned praise both locally and internationally for blending African heritage with global design standards.

“Our goal is not just to create watches, but to tell African stories through timepieces,” said Dzamefe, CEO of Caveman Watches. “We are grateful for this visit. It reaffirms our belief that we are on the right path. With the right platforms and visibility, brands like ours can make a lasting impression on the world stage.”

The engagement also allowed for critical dialogue between the brand and GEPA officials, highlighting opportunities for strategic support in areas such as international marketing, policy alignment, and export readiness.

GEPA, which operates under the Ministry of Trade and Industry, plays a pivotal role in supporting Ghanaian businesses to access global markets, especially within the creative, manufacturing, and value-added sectors.

As Ghana continues to diversify its export portfolio, homegrown brands like Caveman Watches are demonstrating that luxury, quality, and cultural authenticity can go hand in hand—creating a compelling case for African-made products on the world market.
