Dreams FC are through to the group stage of the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup after edging FC Kallon 3-2 on aggregate.

The Ghana Cup holders conceded late on Saturday to draw 1-1 against the Sierra Leonean club in Liberia but still progressed.

The Still Believe lads, who are competing in Africa for the first time, won the first leg 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium two weeks ago, which proved to be enough for their qualification.

Dreams FC are the first team from Ghana to compete in the Confederations Cup group stage since 2019 after Asante Kotoko under CK Akonnor.

Agyenim Boateng Mensah gave the visiting Dreams the lead three minutes in after converting a penalty.

The Ghanaian side held on to go into the break with a one-goal advantage at the neutral Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Liberia.
