The newly appointed Head of Information at the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, Bridget Bonnie, has pledged her commitment to helping the mission achieve its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with the ‘Reset Agenda’ of President John Dramani Mahama.
Her appointment was announced on Sunday, November 2, 2025, as part of efforts to strengthen Ghana’s diplomatic communication and public engagement in the UK and Ireland.
In a statement following her appointment, Ms Bonnie expressed gratitude to President Mahama for the opportunity to serve and reaffirmed her dedication to promoting Ghana’s image abroad.
“It is a profound honour to serve at the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland as the Head of Information,” she said.
“I am sincerely grateful for this privilege and remain deeply committed to advancing the Mission’s communication and public diplomacy agenda.”
She added that she looks forward to working closely with Her Excellency Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, to achieve the Mission’s goals.
“Under the distinguished leadership of Her Excellency Sabah Zita Benson, I look forward to contributing meaningfully toward the attainment of the High Commission’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), in alignment with the visionary Reset Agenda of H.E. John Dramani Mahama,” she stated.
Ms Bonnie also expressed heartfelt appreciation to President Mahama and all who supported her appointment, while encouraging young Ghanaians to remain hopeful and united.
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to H.E. John Dramani Mahama and to all who made this possible. To my fellow Ghanaians and the teeming youth across the country, thank you for the love and support. Together, we will build the Ghana we want.”
The Ghana High Commission in London serves as a key diplomatic and information hub, promoting trade, investment, tourism, immigration, and consular services. It also coordinates the work of Ghana’s parastatals based in London, including the Cocoa Marketing Company, Ghana Forestry Commission, Ghana International Bank, and the Universities of Ghana Office, which provide specialised services in their respective fields.
