Ghana’s Bronya Boxing Africa Foundation will host a multi-tiered boxing event at Bukom Park on August 2, partnering with Mubarak’s Safebox Boxing Promotions.
Dubbed “Operation Giving Back to the Community Fight Night,” the show coincides with Accra’s Homowo Festival celebrations and aims to advance sports tourism.
Professional, amateur, and juvenile boxers will receive specialized kits and equipment during the event. Promoter Mubarak Nanor confirmed participation incentives, stating: “Boxers who show up will be rewarded handsomely.” The initiative underscores grassroots sports development under Ghana’s broader tourism strategy.
Founder Joe Bronya returns to mentor emerging talents, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to athlete development. Bukom Park—a historic boxing hub—provides the backdrop for this community-focused event, aligning with President Mahama’s sports investment agenda.
