Bosheba holds maiden concert with friends in Achimota

Ghanaian musician Bosheba has successfully hosted his first major concert of the year, drawing a massive crowd to Reemas Lounge at Kingsby Roundabout in Achimota on Friday, 9 January.

The event, dubbed “Bosheba & Friends,” marked a major milestone in the artist’s career and underscored his enduring influence and strong connection with the Achimota community, where he has lived for more than two decades.

The free-entry concert attracted music lovers, creatives, youth, and community leaders from Achimota and surrounding areas, creating an inclusive atmosphere filled with music, entertainment, and cultural celebration.

Bosheba delivered energetic and emotionally resonant performances, taking fans through a rich catalogue that reflected his musical journey over the years. A highlight of the night was his performance of “Sweet Vanilla,” a fan-favourite collaboration with Ruff n Smooth and Bradez, which drew loud reactions from the audience and reaffirmed his ability to create timeless records that resonate across generations.

The show also featured strong supporting performances from Baba Tundey, King Jerry, Captain, Kwaku BigDeal, Chizzy Willa, Waife SwiitLypz of Dunsin Fame, Diko, and PM Boss, offering a vibrant and diverse musical experience that kept patrons engaged throughout the night.

Speaking after the event, Bosheba expressed deep appreciation to fans and supporters for their overwhelming turnout, noting that the response had renewed his commitment to pushing his craft to greater heights. He revealed that the success of the concert had inspired plans to potentially take “Bosheba & Friends” on a European tour, signalling an ambitious new phase in his career.

Beyond the performances, Motown Connect / Bosheba & Friends stood out as a dynamic social and entertainment gathering aimed at uniting youth, creatives, and music enthusiasts, while promoting positive community engagement. The concert also served as a platform for both emerging and established artistes, further reinforcing Achimota’s reputation as a hub for creative expression.

Bosheba, who is known for his versatility across genres, also used the occasion to highlight his upcoming hip-hop album, “No Sleep 4 Street,” a 12-track project inspired by street realities and personal experiences. Two singles from the album, “5%” and “Enko So,” have already been released, building anticipation for the full project.

Overall, Motown Connect / Bosheba & Friends celebrated music, unity, and community pride, positioning Bosheba as an artiste steadily moving towards broader international recognition and making the concert a defining moment in his evolving musical journey.
