Black Stars move two places up to 73rd in latest FIFA ranking, still 14th in Africa

Ghana’s Black Stars have moved two places up in the latest FIFA ranking following their recent performance in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

Otto Addo’s side, having been moved upward by one place in the last ranking, has now moved to the 73rd position as far as the global ranking is concerned.

The progression follows the Black Stars’ performance during the October 2025 international window, where they faced Madagascar and Comoros in the World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana recorded a 5-0 win over Madagascar in Morocco before beating the Comoros 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium to finish top spot in Group I of the qualifiers.

Despite the improvement in the global ranking, they, however, remain unchanged in the continental ranking.
