
Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso East Constituency, Naser Toure Mahama, has passed on.
The lawmaker was a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Born in Nima, Accra, on March 17, 1965, Mr Toure first entered Parliament in 2013 after winning the seat in the 2012 elections.
In Parliament, he served in key capacities, notably as the Vice Chairman of the pivotal Energy Committee.
He also served as a member of the Roads and Transport, House, and Private Members’ Bills and Motions committees.
Friends and sympathisers are already sharing tributes in his memory.
Akim Swedru lawmaker, Kennedy Nyarko Osei, described him as a gentle soul.
