He also expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their support in bringing the project to fruition.

The Municipal Education Director noted that the rapid population growth in Kasoa has not been matched by adequate infrastructure, such as schools, markets, and health facilities.

He said the new school would help bridge the gap in educational infrastructure within the municipality.

A traditional leader also commended the initiative and called for sustained investment in education to meet the demands of the area’s growing population.

The Municipal Engineer, who provided a technical briefing, said the project would include a two-unit classroom block with changing rooms for nursery and primary pupils, as well as an additional two-unit classroom block for Junior High School students.

Other facilities will also be provided to create a conducive learning environment.

The MP described the ceremony as both symbolic and historic, stressing that it marked a significant step toward improving access to quality education in the municipality.

The sod-cutting was jointly performed by the MP, the Director of Prisons in charge of Operations, the Municipal Education Director, the Officer-in-Charge of Awutu Camp Prison, CSP Catherine Mawunya Gagakuma, and traditional leaders.
