August 2025 inflation declines marginally to 11.5%; lowest in 4 years

The year-on-year Inflation for August 2025 slowed down to 11.5% from the 12.1% recorded in July 2025.

This is the eighth consecutive decline this year and the lowest in four years.

According to the data by the Ghana Statistical Service, the decline was influenced by a significant slowdown in the general price levels of foodstuffs and other items.

The Government Statistician, Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu, noted that the development shows that the pressures driving inflation over the past months are declining.

On a month-on-month basis, the general price level fell by 1.3% between July and August 2025, indicating some relief for households.
