Asantehene

President John Mahama is set to receive the final report and recommendations on the mediation of the Bawku conflict from the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Minister of Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, on Tuesday, December 9.

It said the presentation is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at the Presidency.

The report is the culmination of months of mediation led by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, whose role has been central to the broader national reconciliation agenda aimed at resolving the long-standing tensions in the area.

The presentation of the report is expected to guide the next phase of government action toward achieving sustainable peace in Bawku.
