Asante Kotoko have appointed Karim Zito as their head coach, replacing Prosper Narteh Ogum on an interim basis.
Zito, who once played for and coached the Porcupines, will be in charge for the final six matches of the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup semi-final tie against Berekum Chelsea.
The 64-year-old gaffer will be assisted by Prince Yaw Owusu, until a substantive head coach is named.
Kotoko say the changes are “renewed commitment to building a strong, visionary technical structure aimed at sustained competitive success”.
Zito will be on the touchline for Kotoko’s next encounter against Aduana FC at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Ogum was sacked after a run of disappointing results, having been winless in four league matches.
The Porcupines relinquished their lead and drop to fourth, trailing leaders Gold Stars by six points.
