Former Deputy Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Joseph Dindiok Kpemka, has described individuals who engage in or support corruption against the state as national threats.
Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile on Saturday, Mr Kpemka argued that corruption undermines national progress and must be treated as a crime against the collective welfare of citizens, regardless of political affiliation.

He stressed that anyone who steals from the state or aids corrupt practices is an enemy of Ghana, “Any person, born here in Ghana and he/she is a Ghanaian, who is against the fight against corruption, or who supports corruption or looting is an enemy of the state.”
Mr Kpemka made the remarks while contributing to discussions on the recent financial irregularities involving the National Food Buffer Stock Company and the J.A Plant Pool procurement scandal.
