Ambassador Alhaji Salamu Amadu has praised the organisers of the Kwahu Business Forum for establishing a dynamic platform that empowers entrepreneurs and promotes economic development.

He lauded the initiative, describing it as a significant opportunity for emerging entrepreneurs to network, gain exposure, and engage with key industry players.

“This was my first time travelling to Kwahu because of the forum, and I must say that already, two banks have visited me at the Afro-Arab Group Head Office as a direct result of the event,” he revealed, highlighting the immediate business opportunities and partnerships the forum facilitated.

Alhaji Salamu, who is president and founder of the Afro-Arab Group of Companies, a Ghanaian-based firm, stressed that initiatives like the Kwahu Business Forum play a vital role in inspiring and nurturing the next generation of business leaders. “Platforms like this serve as a springboard for emerging entrepreneurs to gain visibility, learn from others, and connect within the business ecosystem,” he noted.

Ambassador Amadu also underscored the importance of expanding the forum’s reach beyond Ghana. He urged the organisers to consider inviting firms from across the African continent to participate in next year’s edition, as a means of advancing regional integration and supporting the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

“I strongly encourage the organisers to consider bringing in companies from other African nations next year. This will not only broaden business networks but also align with the vision of the AfCFTA. The forum has the potential to become a major platform for intra-African trade,” he stated.

He further observed that the forum’s impact extends beyond commerce, playing a significant role in promoting tourism and stimulating local economies. “The forum will help birth many empowered entrepreneurs and also boost tourism in the area,” he added.

He then commended President John Dramani Mahama and Chief of Staff Julius Debrah for their continued commitment to supporting entrepreneurial development nationwide.

“I’ve heard about Kwahu for many years, but this was my first time travelling there because of the forum,” he said. “I must say I’m truly impressed by the level of organisation, the quality of networking opportunities, and the foresight behind this initiative. It’s a real game-changer for entrepreneurs like myself.”

Known for his strong advocacy for youth empowerment and business development through the Afro-Arab Group, Ambassador Amadu reaffirmed his dedication to supporting initiatives that create growth opportunities for entrepreneurs across Ghana and the African continent.

According to him, he sees the Kwahu Business Forum as part of a broader series of events aimed at stimulating business development, tourism, and regional economic growth within the Kwahu enclave.

Before the Kwahu Business Forum, President John Dramani Mahama renewed his call for sound economic policies that place entrepreneurs at the centre of Ghana’s development agenda.

He stressed the urgent need to unlock opportunities and give meaningful expression to the success of hardworking Ghanaians.

The president noted this in a Facebook post after a three-day visit to Kwahu during the Easter festivities.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Minority Leader, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, has also lauded the president for initiating the Kwahu Business Forum, which continues to shape the future of business in Ghana.
