African stars shine as changemakers at The Hague African Festival 2025

The Hague came alive with the sounds, colours and energy of Africa last weekend as the 14th edition of The Hague African Festival brought together stars, emerging talent and changemakers from across the continent and beyond.

The Hague African Festival 2025 transformed the Dutch city into a hub of African music, fashion and culture last weekend, celebrating creativity and social impact under the theme ‘Changemakers.’

Now in its 14th year, the festival, led by curator and director Augustina ‘MS ABA’ Austin, brought together artists from across Africa and the diaspora for concerts, exhibitions, films and community events over several weeks. The celebrations culminated in a colourful weekend finale at ZuiderparkTheater.

Ghanaian music star Epixode delivered one of the standout performances, teaming up with the all-female Infinity Band for a high-energy set with heartfelt tributes. His appearance followed his recent win at the 2025 Ghana Music Awards, where he received the Music for Good Award for using music to inspire positive change.
