The Managing Director of Agriculture Development Bank PLC, Alhassan Yakubu-Tali has resigned.

His resignation took effect from February 5, 2025.

This follows the nomination of a new Managing Director by the majority shareholder, the government.

Mr. Yakubu-Tali was appointed as the Managing Director on December 1, 2022, having served as the Deputy Managing Director from August 2017.

According to circular from the Ghana Stock Exchange, it stated that his tenure as the MD witnessed a rollout of a 2-year comprehensive corporate strategy that culminated in the Bank growth in capital and assets.

Under his leadership, it added, the shareholders of the Bank successfully injected additionally capital of GHS1.501 billion bringing stability to the capital of the Bank.

It pointed out that the strategic focus on recovering the Bank’s Non-Performing loans yielded impressive results leading to improved financial performance. His leadership also resulted in the reversal of a trend of significant losses recorded in prior years.

The Board, Management and Staff thanked Mr. Yakubu-Tali for his remarkable contribution to the progress of the Bank
