Achimota School dominates to keep NSMQ seed with commanding 68 points

Reigning Greater Accra Regional Champions, Achimota School (Motown), delivered a masterclass performance in their National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) contest against Krobo Girls’ Presbyterian SHS and Simms SHS, securing a confident victory and maintaining their seeded status.

Round one set the tone for what was to come — smooth, confident, and calculated. Motown quickly took charge with 24 points, while Krobo Girls’ scored 16 points and Simms SHS followed with 7 points.

The speed race round that followed was no different. Motown blazed through, answering most of the questions correctly and stretching their lead even further. By the end of round two, they had amassed 47 points, leaving Krobo Girls’ at 12 and Simms at 4.

Then came round three, the “Problem of the Day.” After a few minutes of intense solving, the quiz mistress called time. When scores were announced, Achimota secured 5 out of 10, while Krobo Girls’ and Simms SHS each managed 3 out of 10.
