ACCESS career fair at AAMUSTED trains 540 students in job-market skills and entrepreneurship

More than 540 students at the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) have received training in employability skills, professional branding and entrepreneurship under a two-day Career Fair organised by the African Centre for Career Enhancement and Skills Support (ACCESS).

The event, held at the university’s New Auditorium and themed “Youth, Careers, and Entrepreneurship: Driving Innovation for Sustainable Development,” brought together faculty, industry professionals and HR experts to equip students for a rapidly shifting labour market.

Speaking on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Boateng, called on students to take workplace readiness seriously and to leverage skills development programmes to improve employment prospects.

Human resource expert Modesta Abbem, Deputy Director of HR at the Ghana Health Service, delivered the keynote on interview preparation and professional branding.

She highlighted first impressions, competence and integrity as decisive factors during recruitment.
