A 12-year pupil at Aiyinasi in Ellembelle District of the Western Region allegedly committed suicide by hanging, Mynewsgh has confirmed.

The District Police Commander, DSP Thomas Bayor who confirmed the incident revealed that it occurred on Monday dawn in the room of the deceased.

According to him, the body has since been removed and deposited at the morgue of a health facility in the area pending  autopsy to determine the actual cause of death.

“We received an information a 12-year-old committed suicide by hanging in his room at a village called Aiyinasi. We have since confirmed the incident and removed the body to the morgue for preservation. It is quite early to determine if there was a foul play or not”, he said.

Meanwhile, the deceased pupil left no suicide note to give a clue as to why he may have taken his own life in that manner.
