The Inspirel Educational Connect hosted a transformative event, the Educational Empowerment Program, under the banner “Dream Big, Act Now”, at the Trinity Baptist Church Auditorium.

This initiative, on March 10, aimed at providing students and young people with the tools they need for academic success, personal growth, and enhanced employability, was made possible through the sponsorship of the Roselyn Felli Foundation.

The day was filled with performances from the students, showcasing their skills and creativity. The event also featured a mentorship session with professionals from various fields, who shared valuable career advice and personal insights with the attendees.

The mentors engaged in an open dialogue, offering guidance on how a positive mindset can play a critical role in achieving professional success, while also sharing stories from their own journeys.

One of the standout moments came from private legal practitioner Mattah Tobias Dennis Xorse, who moved the audience with his powerful speech. As a visually impaired individual who overcame numerous obstacles to become a lawyer, he offered words of wisdom to the students.

“Don’t let negative circumstances define your life. Stay focused on the positive, and be determined to chase your dreams no matter how hard the road may seem. It’s the power of perseverance that will see you through.”

Another keynote speaker, Nana Kwesi McKenzie, Creative Arts CEO of McZie Media, addressed the often negative perception of social media. He urged the attendees to see beyond the stereotypes and use social platforms responsibly to drive personal growth and contribute to national development.

McKenzie emphasised the importance of initiatives like this one, which promote a constructive use of social media to inspire positive change.

“Programs like these show that social media can be a tool for good. It’s all about how we use it—towards self-improvement, not destruction,” McKenzie said.
