A sales agent with Prudential Life Insurance Ghana, Loretta Addo-Asare, has received multiple awards in Ghana and on the continental stage following an exceptional performance in 2025.
The agent, who celebrated five years with the company in September 2025, was among the top performers honoured during the firm’s Annual Gala and Awards Night held on February 21, 2026, at Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
At the event, she won the Best Agent with Highest Same Month Inception award, a category that recognises agents who ensure clients begin paying their insurance premiums immediately or within the same month their policies are purchased.
She also secured fifth place in the Diamond Club category, marking her first qualification for the prestigious club under the company’s Race to the Top performance programme.
The award recipient said the recognition came as a pleasant surprise, especially after arriving at the event late following a long day serving as maid of honour at a friend’s wedding.
“I was exhausted when I got there, but I knew I needed to attend. When my name was called for an award I didn’t even realise I had qualified for, I was both shocked and grateful,” she recounted.
Her achievements extended beyond Ghana after her Diamond Club qualification earned her an incentive trip and the opportunity to attend an international recognition ceremony in Bali, Indonesia.
The event brought together top-performing agents from several African countries, including Nigeria, Uganda, Zambia and Kenya. During the ceremony, she received her Diamond Club recognition as a first-time qualifier.
In another highlight of the night, she was named Best Agent Africa – Persistency (Ghana) after achieving 100 per cent persistency, meaning every one of her clients consistently honoured their insurance premium payments.
The award celebrates agents who maintain strong relationships with their clients while ensuring the continuity of policy payments.
Reflecting on her journey, the agent explained that her initial goal for 2025 had simply been to increase her commissions in order to secure a stronger survival benefit.
However, the effort ultimately opened the door to broader opportunities, leading to both national and continental recognition.
She attributed her success to divine guidance as well as the mentorship and support she received from her agency manager, Aaron Frank Mintah Afful, and team leader Ivy Selasi Kissieh.
The award-winning agent also expressed gratitude to her colleagues, family members and clients who trusted her with their insurance needs.
Looking ahead, she said the recognition has inspired her to aim even higher within the industry.
“Looking back at where I started and what I have achieved over the past five years makes me proud,” she said. “But this is just the beginning. I am motivated to do even more.”
