The Chief of Kyebi Zongo, Sarki Sanusi Mohammed, says the Kyebi Zongo will soon become a model Zongo for environmental stewardship, educational excellence, and discipline.
He says the poor sanitary conditions, unacceptable levels of school dropouts, and deviant behaviors associated with Zongo communities will soon be a thing of the past.
Speaking at his outdooring ceremony in Kyebi as the Kyebi Zongo Chief, Sarki Sanusi Mohammed indicated that the Kyebi Zongo shall become a model Zongo for all other Zongos in the country.

“I have gotten to this stage in life because I dedicated myself to learning. I know the relevance of education in society and I shall do everything possible within my means to ensure that the average Zongo child has an appreciable education before he/she enters into marriage,” said Sarki Sanusi Mohammed.
He said the era where young ladies are forced into marriage at the detriment of education is over, indicating that the Zongo girl will marry, but only at a time she has a degree or a trade.

Touching on sanitation, Sarki Sanusi Mohammed noted that plans are already underway to ensure a cleaner Zongo community.
He said the era where Zongo communities are engulfed with indiscriminate dumping of refuse, littering, and filth is over.
Sarki indicated that he is already working with the Abuakwa South District Assembly to clear hills of refuse dumps within the Zongo communities and promote more sustainable, environmentally friendly ways of disposing of refuse.
Sarki Sanusi Mohammed added that he is going to work hand-in-hand with the regional police command to clear all drug peddlers from the Zongo community and ensure total discipline in Kyebi Zongo, making it a model for other Zongos.
The Chief of Apapam and Amantuamiensahene, Osabarima Okogyeaman Apagya Fori, under whose division the Zongo community falls, commended Sarki Sanusi Mohammed for his dedication towards education.
He extended the Okyenhene’s congratulations to him and advised him to bridge the gaps within the Zongo community.
He was particular about education and discipline within the Zongo community, urging that the stigma of violence in Zongo communities must come to an end under his reign as Zongo chief.
