Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has been released from detention by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
Mr. Kpebu was reportedly arrested for allegedly obstructing an OSP officer after appearing at the office in response to an invitation on Wednesday, December 3.
He was subsequently detained and granted bail, with conditions requiring him to show landed property in his name and provide one surety.
According to reports, his lawyers worked to meet these bail conditions, but upon returning to the OSP, Mr. Kpebu was not at the office.
Mr. Kpebu had attended the OSP to respond to corruption allegations he made against Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng but insisted he would not cooperate unless the investigative committee was independently constituted.
