
The Ghana Police Service has sent a duplicate docket of the murdered Immigration Officer (Stephen King Amoah) case to the Office of the Attorney General for advice.
The GNA gathered that the Police and Court would have to wait for the advice of the Attorney General.
Meanwhile, the case of the suspects, namely Bright Aweh, aka Highest Bright and Thomas Zigah, have been adjourned to December 3, 2025.
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the court did not sit, hence the matter was adjourned.
The two accused persons who were brought to the Adabraka District Court under heavy security guard were whisked away after taking the next adjourned date.
Aweh and Zigah are being held for their alleged involvement in the murder of the late Amoah.
Represented by their lawyers, Aweh and Zigah’s pleas have been reserved despite being held on the charges of conspiracy to murder and murder.
On July 3, 2025, Amoah went missing after leaving his home to meet Aweh at Ashongman Estates.
Amoah’s body was discovered days later in a drain at Abom Junction.
Investigations revealed that the meeting was arranged following WhatApp exchanges involving images of cash, allegedly to settle a debt.
Aweh claimed he gave Amoah GHC500,000 to pay off a debt and retain the balance, but inconsistencies in his account raised suspicion.
He was initially charged with kidnapping and later arrested for the murder of Amoah after police found a bloodstained camouflage fabric and a fufu pestle wrapped in polythene at his residence.
Zigah was picked up after weeks of painstaking investigations.
Aweh and Zigah have since been charged with conspiracy to murder and murder.
