Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has offered his reflections on Ghana’s 1–0 defeat to South Korea in Tuesday’s international friendly in Seoul, marking the end of the team’s Asian tour.
Ghana fell to a second-half strike from Lee Tae-Seok despite enjoying long spells of possession and creating several promising chances.
Reacting to the defeat, Addo expressed disappointment with his side’s lack of cutting edge in the final third.
“We had good ball possession and created a lot of chances, which we couldn’t use. The difference is they [Korea] took their chance,” he said.
“It was a good game to watch. We pressed well and could have scored from some of the opportunities we created in those moments. In the end, Korea were just more clinical, and that’s why they won.
“It also wasn’t easy for some of the guys because they haven’t played together often enough, but I think they did well.”
The result also means back-to-back defeats for the Black Stars in the campaign in Asia, having also lost to Japan last Friday.
