Security Services Recruitment: Ignoring scheduled screening times could lead to disqualification - Muntaka warns applicants

The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mubarak, has issued a warning to applicants for the nationwide internal security services recruitment exercise, stressing that those who fail to adhere to their assigned screening times risk automatic disqualification.

Speaking at a briefing in Accra on Friday, November 14, Mr Mubarak explained that each screening centre will handle no more than 1,000 applicants per day, divided into two sessions: 500 in the morning and 500 in the afternoon.

“So, if you are for the afternoon, and you decided to rush in the morning, that itself becomes a basis for disqualification. You want to be a security person, but you don’t want to comply with rules,” he said.

The Minister clarified that the system will automatically assign applicants to specific centres and time slots to ensure a smooth and orderly process.

For instance, applicants from Tamale may be allocated to Tamale Secondary School Park, Alhaji Mahama Sports Stadium, or Ghana Secondary School Park, depending on their scheduled session.

“Applicants should pay serious attention to every piece of information they have, so that they do not get themselves unnecessarily disqualified because they couldn’t follow simple instructions,” Mr Mubarak added.

The Ministry has emphasised that these measures aim to prevent overcrowding, maintain safety, and ensure fairness across all recruitment centres nationwide.
