Koku Anyidoho accredited by EISA as Certified International Elections Observer

Samuel Koku Anyidoho, Founder and CEO of the Mills Institute for Transformational Leadership Development, has been officially certified as an International Elections Observer and Elections Analyst by the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA).

This follows a one-week intensive training held between August 11–14, 2025, in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, under the auspices of ECOWAS.

The session included 14 participants from the ECOWAS subregion representing Ghana (3), Gambia, Senegal, Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, and Liberia, all carefully selected to receive training in election management and observation.

Koku Anyidoho brings to the role over five years of experience working with ECOWAS as an elections observer—monitoring polls in Guinea Conakry, Benin, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Senegal. This accreditation is set to strengthen his valuable contribution to democratic processes across Africa.

EISA, with headquarters in Johannesburg and Abidjan, is a pan-African institution originally established to support democratic transitions in post-apartheid South Africa. Its early work focused on conflict monitoring and election mediation.

Koku Anyidoho’s Political Journey and Contributions

Koku Anyidoho’s political career began when President John Atta Mills invited him into public service as Head of Communications (2009–2012), later elevating him as Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) from 2014 to 2018.

Known for his unwavering loyalty, Anyidoho continues to champion the legacy of President Mills through the Atta Mills Institute, which he established to advocate good governance and transformational leadership

Beyond his political career, Anyidoho earned a formal theological education, graduating with an MA in Ministry from Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon in 2023

Embracing his role as a “Theologian with degrees,” he emphasises the importance of integrating spiritual values into nation-building, drawing inspiration from Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

Professional Expansion into Counseling

Further solidifying his leadership credentials, Anyidoho was recently inducted into the Ghana Psychology Council as a professional counselor, signaling his commitment to ethical and transformational work in public governance
