Flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Agyapong has framed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) constitutional amendments as a transformative step for the opposition party.

In a July 20, 2025, social media statement, the Assin Central MP asserted the reforms addressed grassroots demands for institutional renewal.

Agyapong characterized the July 19 National Delegates Conference as a restoration of core NPP values—”patriotism, honesty and discipline.” He emphasized the approved amendments transcended procedural adjustments, calling them a direct response to calls for substantive change within the party.

The statement thanked delegates and organizers for upholding institutional standards while urging unity ahead of the 2028 elections. “Rebuild not just for victory… but for a party that stands tall for the next generation,” Agyapong wrote, positioning the reforms as foundational for long-term relevance.
