Former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Worsemao Armah Blay, says President Nana Akufo-Addo’s government deserves high marks for how it handled the economy.
He was emphatic, the eight-year governance of the Akufo-Addo government delivered on key sectors of national development.
Speaking on JoyNews’ PM Express on Wednesday, July 16, Mr. Blay said the administration’s performance in infrastructure, institutional development, education, health, and employment was unmatched.
“In terms of performance, and I’m being very sincere with you, I think Nana Akufo-Addo’s government did very well,” he said.

He argued that even in the area of job creation, the Akufo-Addo government outperformed any previous administration.
“I think his government did very well in terms of even providing employment in the history of this country; that government did extremely well.”
Mr. Blay admitted, however, that the party failed to carry its own members along, a shortcoming that may have cost the NPP politically.
“Maybe the only thing we failed to do was to carry along our membership, a greater portion of our members, and some got quite frustrated, and therefore refused to go and vote.”
