The National Sports Authority has successfully reclaimed Tamale’s historic Kaladan Park and its surrounding lands after a long-running legal dispute.

The land, equivalent to five football pitches, is now back under the authority’s control, paving the way for future development.

NSA Director General Yaw Ampofo Ankrah visited the Northern Region as part of his working tour, where he assessed the deteriorating state of some facilities and discussed plans for revitalisation.

Chief Director Alhaji Abubakar Mahamoud confirmed the legal victory, stating it clears the path for strategic investment.

The return of the “sakora pitch”, once a fortress for Real Tamale United, is seen as a key step in the NSA’s broader RESET agenda.

Plans are underway to secure proper documentation and attract investors to transform the area.
