The 9th Ghana CEO Summit has officially been launched at Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra on Wednesday, April 23.

The Summit under the theme “Leading Ghana’s Economic Reset: Transforming Business and Governance for a Sustainable Futuristic Economy- A Private-Public Sector CEO Dialogue & High-Impact Learning,” will, as usual, celebrate outstanding leadership in corporate Ghana.

It will take place on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Ernest Egyir, founder of the CEO Summit, emphasised the pivotal role the summit plays in shaping Ghana’s economic future.

“As our country navigates through global uncertainties and local challenges, the call for courageous, innovative, and forward-thinking leadership has never been more pressing,” he stated.

He revealed that this year’s summit will be graced by a high-profile guest, emphasising the event’s national importance.

“I’m honoured to announce that the special guest of honour for this year’s summit will be none other than the President of the Republic of Ghana, President John Mahama. His presence underlines the summit’s significance as a national platform for dialogue between the public and private sectors,” Mr Egyir said.

The Ghana CEO Summit, an annual forum that convenes chief executives, heads of state, policymakers, and investors from across Ghana and the West African sub-region, has established itself as a cornerstone for promoting strategic dialogue and driving economic transformation.

“It is where leadership meets action, where strategy meets policy, and where ideas are turned into transformation,” Mr Egyir added.

He revealed that key highlights of the 2025 summit will include major panel discussions covering critical themes such as “Resetting Ghana’s Economic Narrative,” the exclusive “Presidential Business Dialogue with CEOs” – where the President will set the tone for the summit – and the “CEO Business Keyspan,” which will showcase insights from local giants and African multinationals.

According to him, the “Digital Economy Panel” will delve into how Ghana can leverage technology to drive its next leap forward, while the “Ghana Economic Outlook Panel” will explore strategic pathways for navigating the future.

The summit aims to bring together Ghana’s top business minds and leadership figures to define strategies that will reset, renew, and reposition the country’s economy for the years ahead.

Some of these top figures include the Country Managing Partner of Deloitte Ghana, Daniel Kwadwo Owusu, the Chief Executive Officer of Petrosol Ghana Ltd, Michael Bozumbil, the Executive Chairman of the KGL Group, Alex Apau Dadey.

The Dean of the Law School, University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Prof Kofi Abotsi, hinted at a wave of innovative programmes and initiatives to be unveiled in the coming year.

Prof Abotsi highlighted the need to sustain the relevance of platforms like the CEO Network, especially in leading national conversations on business and economic development.

“As we approach our 10th anniversary, I can assure you that there are creative and innovative programmes and products that are likely to be unveiled next year, all aimed at continuing to position the CEO Network as a central voice in business and economic discourse in Ghana,” he said.

Professor Abotsi offered a strong call to action, encouraging widespread participation in this year’s summit.

“I urge everyone to register and attend this year’s gathering as it promises to deliver unique insights into the theme of re-energising the economy,” he stated.

Touching on broader global and national issues, Professor Abotsi warned of the urgent challenges confronting the world and Ghana, including economic instability, the effects of climate change, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the future of work.

“Globally, we’re navigating economic turbulence, climate change is confronting us head-on, and AI is reshaping the workplace. More critically, we are facing a growing mass of unemployed youth, who risk becoming not our democratic dividend, but our democratic danger,” he cautioned.

He stressed that the employment crisis should be of concern to every corporate entity in Ghana and called for a unified response.

“I believe it is vital that all companies be deeply concerned about the employment challenge. I urge all of us to be present at the CEO Summit on 26th May, to participate and ensure that we contribute meaningfully to the development of our country,” Prof Abotsi concluded.

The 9th Ghana CEO Summit was officially launched by Moses Kwasi Baiden Jnr, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Margins ID Group.
