7th Volta Trade Investment Fair

The 7th edition of the Volta Trade and Investment Fair is scheduled to take place from 26th November to 8th December 2025 in the Volta Regional Capital, Ho.

It would be under the theme: “Volta Rising: Building Global Partnerships for a Thriving 24-Hour Economy”.

This year’s fair is being organised by the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) – Eastern, Volta & Oti Regions – in collaboration with the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC).

The 2025 edition of the Volta Trade and Investment Fair is a novelty, as it features a 24-hour format, expected to give exhibitors and patrons the experience of trading around the clock at the fairgrounds.

“This year’s edition introduces a groundbreaking innovation: designated 24-hour fair days, making it Ghana’s first-ever continuous trade exhibition experience,” stated a communique jointly issued by the Volta Trade & Investment Fair Planning Committee and the Association of Ghana Industries (Eastern, Volta & Oti).

The 24-hour fair days will have extended hours of trading aimed at “increasing engagement, encouraging night-time economic activity, and aligning directly with the Government of Ghana’s 24-hour economy agenda”.

It was strategically designed to extend beyond just an exhibition and serve as a catalyst for “economic development, local empowerment, and international partnerships, seeking to attract meaningful investment into the host region, drive export growth, and build strategic trade relationships within Africa and beyond.”

Organisers of this year’s event took cognisance of the Volta Region’s strategic geographical location and hence schemed to use the Fair to transform the Volta Region into “Ghana’s Eastern Gateway”.

“The fair is designed to position the Volta Region not only as a vibrant hub for investment and innovation but, more strategically, as Ghana’s Eastern Gateway to regional markets such as Togo, Benin, Nigeria, and Cameroon,” stated the communique.

There would be a global representation, as exhibitors are expected to display various products and businesses from across the globe, aiming to promote their products and establish business networks.

“The Fair will feature companies and stakeholders in agribusiness, tourism, ICT, manufacturing, creative arts, and sustainability,” added the communique.

Flagship events and seminars scheduled to provide an experience beyond trading include the Volta Investment Summit, the Women in Entrepreneurship Forum, the Youth in Entrepreneurship Summit, the AI & Innovation Forum, and Creative Arts and Sports Development Forums.

“These knowledge-sharing platforms will complement the exhibitions by providing capacity building, policy discussions, and actionable insight to empower businesses and individuals. They will also promote financial inclusion and job creation across the region.”

Several “community-centred activities” have been lined up to build momentum and anticipation towards the main fair event to increase community participation.

The month of August will host Corporate Fun Games and the official unveiling of the fair’s programme and sponsors.

The Visit Volta, Experience Ghana; a curated 4-day tourism tour of the Volta Region to promote local destinations and cultural heritage, is scheduled for September.

“Organisers are calling on the private sector, development agencies, government institutions, and foreign missions to participate in what promises to be the most ambitious and impactful edition of the Fair yet.”

“For sponsorship, exhibition opportunities, or further information, please contact the Volta Fair Secretariat at 024 463 6097 or [email protected],” the communique concluded.
