Tragedy struck in the Abuom Redtop area near West Hills Mall yesterday when a 7-year-old boy reportedly drowned in a water-filled manhole pit on Monday, October 27, according to a statement by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS).

The GNFS confirmed that rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene following reports of the incident.
