The year 2025 witnessed a refreshing wave in Ghanaian music, marked by the emergence of several fresh talents in the industry. Considerable work was done during the year under review, and these artistes are now well-positioned to deliver even more in the coming year.

Lalid
Lalid, of the chart-topping “The Matter” fame, created his first major hit in 2025, which eventually landed a remix with rapper Medikal. Lalid began his mainstream music journey in 2018. He has since been gaining relevance in the industry since then. 2026 seems to be an even bigger year for Lalid.

Gonaboy
Gonaboy cemented his name in the industry with his hit single “Same Timbs”, commanding the streets with very relatable lyrics. He got the attention of many Ghanaians with his 2023 single “Abele”, which became a household anthem. The expectations of Gonaboy in 2026 are really high as he has smoothly garnered attention this year.

In 2025, Jubed released “Ruwa”, a track that would make him one of the artistes to bring a fresh northern sound fused with afrobeats and gain nationwide attention. He had co-signs from artistes like rap legend Sarkodie, Nana Ama McBrown and many other influential personalities here in Ghana and beyond. Jubed has released the remix of “Ruwa” featuring Nigeria’s Yemi Alade, Oxlade and Prince MK Baagi from Niger.

Rcee has taken it upon himself to redefine authentic Ghanaian highlife suitable for Gen Zs. With releases like “Knees and Bend” and “Agenda”, he catapulted his career to gain mainstream attention. Rcee has been releasing music as far back as 2020, but gained massive attention in 2025. 2026 will see nothing less from the artiste.
