25 candidates failed to report for the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination(BECE) in the Sunyani West in the Bono region.

The examination supervisors could however not assigned reasons for the candidates not turning up when the Municipal chief executive Hon Martin Obeng, Municipal director of education Mr Issah Baffoe alongside newsmen visited all the 11centers in the Municipality.

A total of 2,292 candidates that comprises 1,156 girls and 1,136 boys writing the examination at the eleven centers.

The Municipal director of education, Mr. Issah Baffoe in an interview said everything is under control and all the students are seriously writing their examination.

He urged to focus and also desist from any act of examination malpractice.

Hon Martin Obeng Municipal chief executive of the Sunyani west on his part advice the students to try as much as possible to perform well and enjoy president Akufo Addo free senior high school policy.

Meanwhile, a total of 49,725 candidates comprising25,800 boys and 23,925 girls in Bono regions.
