Firefighters continue their efforts to extinguish a severe blaze that swept through a Lartebiokorshie warehouse yesterday.
The inferno began around 2 p.m. on Tuesday when flames erupted from a Chinese-owned warehouse and spread rapidly.
Reports indicate the fire ultimately destroyed over five houses.

Fire engines remain on the scene, working relentlessly to contain the blaze as excavators have been deployed to help navigate the rubble.
Despite the quick deployment, within nine minutes of receiving the emergency call, firefighters have faced persistent challenges but are powering through as residents look on.

Crowd control has been enforced by police, ensuring safety as emergency responders continue their work.
Deputy NADMO Manager in Charge of Operations, Mohammed Bada, told JoyNews that two fire officers have been hospitalised, while two other municipal guards have also sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, some neighbors in affected buildings nearby are salvaging what they can from the blaze.
Authorities have urged residents to remain calm while calling for patience as efforts to extinguish the fire and assess the extent of the damage continue.

Greater Accra Regional Minister, Linda Ocloo, has also arrived at the scene.
GNFS has already cited “poor housekeeping” and the inappropriate conversion of a residential building into a warehouse as key factors complicating response efforts.
