A decade of service and compassion was marked with a gesture as Touch A Life Foundation extended support to the Northern Regional Hospital in Tamale, focusing on the maternity and labour wards.

Founder of the foundation, Apostle Cleophas Quobby Asante, asserted that the donation formed part of activities to celebrate the organization’s 10th anniversary of impacting lives across communities.

According to him, the decision to support the maternity unit was intentional and rooted in the foundation’s belief in the critical role women and children play in national development.

“We believe strongly in impacting society, and when it comes to nation-building, women and children play a key role. Supporting the maternity ward means we are directly contributing to life and growth,” Apostle Asante explained.

“We also want to help reduce maternal mortality, and this is our way of contributing to that effort.”

“We are very grateful for this kind support from Touch A Life Foundation,” he said.

“These are everyday consumables that are crucial to our work, especially in the maternity and labour wards. They will go a long way to support quality healthcare delivery.”

Dr. Anthony highlighted the importance of maternal care, noting that childbirth remains a critical aspect of healthcare that requires collective support.

“Everyone in this world came through a mother. Reducing maternal mortality must be a shared responsibility, and gestures like this help us move closer to that goal,” he added.

He used the opportunity to call on individuals, corporate bodies, and other organizations to support the hospital.

“Government is doing its part, but it cannot do everything. We appeal to the public and well-meaning Ghanaians to come on board and support the hospital. This facility serves as a major referral center, so any support here has a wide-reaching impact,” he said.
