Parliament has lauded Homebase TV and GTV for ‘selling’ parliament to the public.
The Majority leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu in his closing submission on Friday on the floor of the House before its recess, acknowledged the two media houses for their immense contributions by helping Parliament to reach out to the public through their medium.
According to Mr Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Parliament in their quest to engage the public on activities of parliament, Homebase TV and GTV gave them the platform for that purpose through the public affairs department of parliament and they can boldly say they have been able to meet their target.
The majority leader was optimistic this gesture by the two media houses will go a longer way to foster unity and help citizens know activities of the house.
Parliament of Ghana went on recess on 1st August, 2019 and expected to resume after 3 months as constitution demands.
