It is obvious nations are tackling Covid-19 from different perspectives. These include but not limited to religious, scientific, social and economic interventions. One which is very dominant is the religious approach. I could understand this phenomenon base on two reasons. The world is in need of God who is capable of helping humanity out. The second reason is the psychological relief in the minds of all who believe in God.

Dear friends, from 2 Chronicles 7:14, reading from the King James Version (KJV):
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

What do I see?
1.Gods people, identified by God’s name.
2.Humility.
3.Prayer.
4. Seek (attempt or desire to obtain or achieve (something).God’s face.
5. Turn from their wicked ways.

Then God will:
1. Hear.
2. Forgive.
3. Heal the land.

This means if nations do the first four and fail to do what is recorded in point 5, then it is obvious God would not even hear.

Question:
Because I am a Christian, suffice to ask what has been the Christian commitment to the five so far that the Christian expect God to do his ‘3’?

Corruption, pilfering and embezzlement, abuse of power from all aspect of society, disregard for natural laws remain the thorn in the flesh of the preachers of righteousness yet will they practice that which they profess to believe in?

Who am I to judge? Better to do a self-introspection too.

After all, I dare not control your life but if you care about results, learn from history and you would see principles to a very large extent don’t lie.
