The Member of Parliament for Kpando, Sebastian Deh has stressed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is poised to change the status quo about governance, hereby, offering an effective governance.

This he said stems from the John Mahama-led-government’s aim of introducing programs and policies that would accelerate economic, infrastructure, and human resource development among others.

Addressing his thanksgiving service at the Kpodzi E.P Church in Kpando, Mr Deh said two main committees have already been formed to brainstorm and formulate reforms to be implemented in anticipation of fulfilling its 120-day campaign promises.

“The new government has been in place for barely 30 days now. The President is making appointments to form the Cabinet to enable him to make crucial decisions for the Country, which will affect our dear Kpando. We want to be a listening government that wants to do things you want us to do, not only what we think you might like.

“The President, therefore, has formed two critical committees on the economy and education to bring all stakeholders together to agree on a plan that will serve the interest of all of our people and you. Our promises to you to be implemented in the first 120 days in government are being rolled out and met. This is a different type of governance. Effective governance”, he stressed.

Mr Deh expressed optimism that Ghanaians, including Kpando constituents, would start experiencing the change they voted for once all appointments are done and the government takes off.

He said that “things would start to change soon and to improve upon your own life and that of your children and family. Once we have all the ministers in place and work truly starts, all the plans for agriculture and agri-business for Kpando will be rolled out—the coding for jobs for our youth and the accelerated export, among others. We will have the Women’s Bank set up.

“Now, the real work begins. I’m ready to work with you because my sleeves are already rolled up. Let’s tackle the challenges ahead and seize every opportunity to strengthen, resiliently, and prosperously make our home the Kpando Constituency.”

He exalted the Almighty God for his mercies and blessing, guiding him throughout the electioneering where he emerged victorious in the Kpando parliamentary elections and the NDC in the presidential elections.

He extended his appropriation to his constituents who believed in his vision and voted for him to lead an agenda to restore the past glory of Kpando, promising to represent and work in the interest of all constituents irrespective of party affiliation.

“Your hopes, struggles, and dreams will always guide my actions to revive, repair, and restore the Kpando Constituency to its former glory. I pray for God’s guidance, strength, and good health as we embark on the journey to rebuild our country together.

“And I ask that you continue to bear me up in your prayers for God’s guidance to make the right decisions and choices for our dear Kpando Constituency”, her further stated.

He promised to operate an all-inclusive administration seeking the support of all stakeholders in his jurisdiction and their input in developing a blueprint to guide the development of the constituency.

“I thank my family, team, volunteers, and, most importantly, the Kpando Constituency for making this victory possible. Let’s move forward with courage, compassion, and unwavering dedication to building a just and fair Ghana for all. I need your feedback and constructive criticism to ensure my path for our beloved Kpando Constituency is straight”, he concluded.
