Halle Berry’s first ex-husband, David Justice, was slammed by fans for saying he divorced her because the actress didn’t possess “motherly” traits.
“Halle Berry’s ex-husband David Justice says he walked away because he couldn’t picture her as the mother to his kids… ‘She doesn’t cook, doesn’t clean, and just didn’t come across as very motherly.’ So he wanted a maid?” asked one user on X.
“Halle Berry, a household name, was supposed to take time away from her breadwinning career to ‘cook and clean’ for a man I’ve never heard of?! LMAOOOO!
“According to their net worths, he needed to be the one throwing the apron on and cleaning the house, too,” added another.
“David Justice could have simply hired a full cleaning & cooking staff & and enjoyed his marriage to Halle Berry. Bro, how did you fumble the queen after you just snagged her? SMDH,” wrote a third fan.
“David Justice dead ass married Halle Berry and wanted her to fold clothes. Catwoman pushing a vacuum?” tweeted another netizen.
“I KNOW David Justice didn’t crawl out from whatever cave he’s been in to speak on Halle Berry, his ex-wife from 30 years ago. On Matt Barnes’ podcast, for that matter. I want a ban on inward-facing with podcast mics. I have had ENOUGH!” declared another fan.

Justice, 59, made headlines when he opened up about the reason he decided to pull the plug on his four-year marriage to the “Catwoman” actress, 58.
“My knowledge and my understanding, my wisdom around relationships just wasn’t vast,” the former MLB player said on Matt Barnes’ “All the Smoke” podcast last Thursday.
“So, I’m looking at my mom — and I’m a Midwest guy. So, in my mind, I’m thinking a wife at that time should cook, clean, [be] traditional, you know?” he continued.
“Then I’m thinking, ‘OK, if we have kids, is this the woman I want to have kids with and build a family with?’ At that time, as a young guy, she don’t cook, don’t clean, don’t really seem like, motherly, and then we start having issues.”
The former Atlanta Braves player — who also confessed that their demanding careers also played a role in the split — said he didn’t know if his “heart was really into it” when Berry asked him to marry her after they had only been dating for five months.
“I said, ‘OK,’ because I couldn’t say ‘no.’ Who’s going to say ‘no’ at that time?” Justice shared, adding that he “didn’t want to make her feel bad.”
The three-time MLB All-Star and the “Monster’s Ball” actress tied the knot in January 1993 and finalised their divorce in June 1997.
Berry then sought a restraining order against Justice, citing fear for her “personal safety and well-being.” (Justice publicly denied the allegations at the time.)
The Academy Award winner then went on to marry singer Eric Benét from 2001 to 2005 and Olivier Martinez from 2013 to 2016. She is currently dating singer Van Hunt.
Berry shares Nahla, 17, with ex Gabriel Aubry, and son Maceo-Robert, 11, with Martinez.
Meanwhile, Justice has been married to Rebecca Villalobos since 2001. They share three children: David Jr., 25, Dionisio, 23, and Raquel, 21.
