Ghana’s U-23 national team (Black Meteors)has left Japan for South Korea to prepare for upcoming international friendlies, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) announced Wednesday.
The Black Meteors have been in Asia for the past week as part of their preparations for the Olympics Games in Tokyo next month.
Ghana lost their two opening friendly games against Japan U-24s, going down 6-0 in the first game last Saturday before falling 4-0 to their counterparts in the return match on Tuesday.
Ghana will now play South Korea on June 12 and 15.
The four friendly matches form part of the long-term vision of the Ghana Football Association to put together a formidable squad for the 2023 Africa Games to be hosted in the country. Enditem
